Frequently Asked Questions |
What is Paintless Dent Repair?
Paintless Dent Repair, or PDR, is the process of removing
small dings, creases, minor dents, and hail damage from automobile surfaces
by massaging the metal back to its original position. Using specialized
tools, it is possible to repair these dents and dings without having to
do any paint or body work.
Is this process better than a traditional paint and body repair?
Yes. With PDR, the original factory finish remains on the
vehicle after the repair is finished. Even though PDR is less expensive,
it is actually a better repair for your vehicle because your vehicle's resale
value is retained.
Will this process damage the paint on my car?
No. In fact, Dentworks Express guarantees that your paint
will not crack or rust as a result of the repair. This guarantee is good
for the entire life of your car.
Will my dent re-appear after time?
No. Once a dent has been properly removed, it is a permanent
repair and will never re-appear.
Should I call my Insurance Company to file a claim?
Since most repairs will fall well below your deductible,
you would not want to file a claim with your insurance company. If your
car was damaged in a hail storm, then you would need to file a claim since
those repairs tend to be more expensive.
Do you use a machine or suction cup to pop out the dents?
No. All work is done by hand using specialized tools. You
must get behind the dent in order to massage it back to its original position
without harming the paint.
How long will it take to fix my dent?
Most repairs can be done in under an hour. It depends on
the severity of the dent and where the dent is located. A typical door ding
can usually be repaired in minutes.
